Highlights of the ASSORT program

ASSORT is a comprehensive surgical outcome and management program developed in 1991 by Dr. Noel Alpins, of Melbourne, Australia. Ads for ASSORT, such as the one here, have appeared in the major ophthalmic journals.

ASSORT is built on a database program called Paradox, which is manufactured by the Borland company. The ASSORT program won the 1993 Borland Paradox Challenge, an international competition aimed at recognizing the most innovative application of the Paradox software. 

ASSORT's latest version (4.0) operates on Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT. The program is provided on diskettes or CD-ROM, and comes with a detailed users manual.

NOTE ABOUT VECTrAK The VECTrAK program comes in three different configurations, and is meant for astigmatism analysis only. It incorporates the sophisticated vector analysis used in the Alpins astigmatism analysis method, and allows statistical analyses of TIA (target induced astigmatism), SIA (surgical induced astigmatism), AOE (angle of error), DV (difference vector), IOC (index of correction) and IOS (index of success) using both refractive and corneal astigmatism measurements.
